CNI presented papers at the IEEE LANMAN Symposium in Boston: both works combined AI-based algorithms with expert knowledge.

CNI researchers Melina Geis and Simon Häger presented two papers at this year's LANMAN Symposium in Boston:

  • M. Geis, C. Bektas, S. Böcker, C. Wietfeld, "AI-driven Planning of Private Networks for Shared Operator Models," in IEEE International Symposium on Local and Metropolitan Area Networks (LANMAN), Boston, USA, July 2024. [pdf]
  • S. Häger, M. Danger, K. Heimann, Y. Gümüs, S. Böcker, C. Wietfeld, "Custom Design and Experimental Evaluation of Passive Reflectors for mmWave Private Networks," in IEEE International Symposium on Local and Metropolitan Area Networks (LANMAN), Boston, USA, July 2024 (Best Paper Award). [pdf]

Special congratulations go to the authors of the second paper, because it received a best paper award of the symposium!

In addition to the full papers, two short demo papers were presented:

  • M. Geis, C. Bektas, S. Böcker, C. Wietfeld, "Automated Private 5G Network Planning for Professional Industries," in IEEE International Symposium on Local and Metropolitan Area Networks (LANMAN), Boston, USA, July 2024. (Demo paper.) [pdf]
  • S. Häger, M. Danger, S. Böcker, C. Wietfeld, "On Link-level Performance of Passive IRS-boosted Indoor mmWave Communications and Road Ahead," in IEEE International Symposium on Local and Metropolitan Area Networks (LANMAN), Boston, USA, July 2024. (Demo Paper.) [pdf]

The support of the BMBF for this research 6GEM as well as the support of state NRW as part of the CC5G.NRW is greatfully acknowledged.
