6GEM @ EuCNC & 6G Summit: Latest Research on IRS-assisted Communications presented on 6G Platform booth

6G-Platform Germany booth at EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025 featuring exhibition area of 6GEM with R-HELIOS IRS Demonstrator (right photo) and Exhibition of HELIOS IRS Panel (left photo, in hands of CNI’s Simon Häger) accompanied by a videodemo highlighting our most recent research results from mmWave field trials with HELIOS, R-HELIOS, and STING systems. These research results were attained within the 6GEM Research Hub project and in cooperation with partners from other 6G projects.
6GEM presented recent mmWave communications trials featuring both HELIOS and R-HELIOS IRSs in various challenging real-life environments in collaboration with 6G projects in Germany (6G-ANNA) and on EU level (6G-SANDBOX). Moreover, the CNI demonstrated the new open source Reconfigurable HELIOS (R-HELIOS) IRS approach: interested visitors of our booth could initialize beam switching and tracking procedures as well as configure individual IRS reflection beam configurations with the demonstrator.
