The major innovation of the automatized detection, the visual information about the local state as well as the telemedical support create enormous added value in daily rescue operations. As the coordinator of the project, the Communication Networks Institute (CNI) of TU Dortmund provides with Prof. Wietfeld the speaker of the consortium with six partners. LARUS is supported by the Federal Ministry for Education an Research (BMBF). Within the scope of the project, the CNI is responsible for the investigation of highly reliable communication between missing persons, the aircraft and a mobile control panel.
